Joining forces with Southern Utah University allows for an extended reach of the program. We aim to make a positive impact in the lives of a whole new group of student pilots.
The key to success in the aviation industry is to provide students with a comprehensive, practical flight-tested range of experience, paired with a general educational foundation. This combination produces well-rounded pilots who are natural problem solvers. Students involved in Upper Limit's program will now have the chance to earn an Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in addition to the necessary flight credentials. This extra edge will further distinguish Upper Limit Aviation's well-trained graduates from many of their peers during the job application process.
Large segments of the economy continue to constrict into narrower areas of specialization. Graduates from the Southern Utah University campus will become helicopter and fixed-wing pilots who are fully prepared to enter into a rapidly growing job market in the midst of an unprecedented, industry-wide expansion.
This partnership was shepherded into life by Upper Limit Aviation Vice President Gordon Birch and SUU Provost Bradley J. Cook. The new program will offer civilian students, as well as student veterans of the armed services, the chance to pursue a career that can afford them the potential to find high-earning careers in a broad range of exciting and satisfying jobs. Under the leadership of SUU flight director Michael Mower, students will receive a flight training education that defines excellence.
Students who study at our SUU program will benefit from the school’s high-altitude location. Mountain flying is an essential skill for today’s highly employable pilots, and the opportunity to learn this skill is built into the program. The partnership between ULA and SUU has been designed to offer students the best training experience available.
Veterans who use the Post 9/11 GI Bill to pay for their education will receive a free or deeply discounted ticket to a future with virtually guaranteed opportunities for success.
