AttorneyOne.com, a recognized authority on law, updated the website recently and they are now actively providing expert opinion in view of the recent news on Wright lawsuit and potential Wright Profemur Hip Replacement Recall lawsuit.
According to a court order issued on March 20, a settlement has been reached in a Wright Profemur hip lawsuit (case no. 4:2011cv03086, California Northern District Court) alleging that the implant failed. In the lawsuit the plaintiff claims he was implanted with the Wright Profemur Hip in 2006 and in 2010 the implant fractured leading to revision surgery.
On June 21st, 2012 Bloomberg published* that the FDA reported approximately 16,800 adverse events related to metal-on-metal hip implants (including Wright Hip Replacement) in the US from 2000-2011.
Taking into consideration the latest developments, AttorneyOne.com updated the website and, now, can actively provide an expert opinion including how to get in contact with legal counsel easily and inexpensively in case of alleged Wright Hip Implant severe complications. Sean Burke, director of Media Relations at AttorneyOne.com, adds that the relevant information illustrates that people continue to file Wright Hip Implant lawsuits. "For that reason," he continues, "our focus should squarely fall on getting the word out and assisting people in finding the right legal assistance.”
The FDA issued safety communication on January 17, informing that metal-on-metal hip implants can cause damage to bone and/or soft tissue surrounding the implant and joint. As the FDA notes, “Soft tissue damage may lead to pain, implant loosening, device failure and the need for revision surgery (a surgical procedure where the implant is removed and another is put in its place). Some of the metal ions released will enter the bloodstream and travel to other parts of the body, where they may cause symptoms or illnesses elsewhere in the body (systemic reactions).”
AttorneyOne.com has further information on Wright Hip lawsuits including how to get in contact with legal counsel.
