Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) June 19, 2013
Last week was a big week for Charlotte based car dealer Scott McCorkle of Liberty Buick GMC. The new 2014 GMC Sierra arrived on his lot first. The Carolina’s are famous for truck ownership. Having the right truck in Weddington, NC is almost as important as having the right dog in Beverly Hills. In North Carolina to be the first dealership to get this breathtaking new model is both exciting and lucrative. People are literally waiting at the doors to get a glimpse of the new model.
Revealed by GM back in April 2013, the 2014 GMC Sierra is being touted as the most luxurious truck on the market this year. McCorkle was so pumped when the 2014 Sierra arrived; he immediately took it for a test drive. Like many before him, he was impressed with the effortless handling. “This truck is built for towing,” said McCorkle.
Others have described the truck as the best vehicle for “Glamping”. Glamping is a new phrase used to describe a glamorous camping experience. Michael Zak, reviewer for AOL Autos, said “Being able to experience the great outdoors without having to seek chiropractic help after sleeping on the ground is OK in my book.”
Just in time for a summer road trip! The 2014 GMC Sierra has direct injected, push rod engines which offers more power and better fuel economy than its competitors from Ford and Dodge. Even when towing, the 2014 GMC Sierra performs surprisingly well. The folks at Motor Trend took the Sierra camping, towing a 5500 pound, 23-foot Airstream trailer. Putting it to the test, the driver challenged it to haul the trailer up a 7 percent grade hill. When asked how the Sierra performed on the hill, the driver said, “No sweat at all.”
The 2014 GMC Sierra stands out from the rest and seems to have taken some advice from Buick. Buick is known for its Quiet Ride technology, and GMC has implemented that into their line. After driving the Sierra then getting into a BMW 750Li, one driver said, “The BMW had more tire noise in the cabin.”
The interior of the Sierra has been updated, too. “Beyond power and drivability, the most notable advances to the 2014 GMC Sierra have to do with the cabin itself,” claimed Dan Edmunds for Edmunds.com. The new interior is both handsome and functional. The INTELLINK infotainment system is extremely user friendly and everything looks very modern and up to date. It has an 8 inch color touchscreen that connects to your smartphone and a rearview camera to make backing up that much easier.
Scott McCorkle is proud to get the new 2014 GMC Sierra on his lot. More inventory means better selection and value to his customers. “More volume equals lower pricing for the customers because of the rewards provided by the manufacturer,” said McCorkle. Liberty GMC and Buick is proud to sell the new 2014 GMC line and the Sierra is an amazing addition to their inventory.
