The developers at Allworx are always working on improving past products. As technology improves so does the need for new features and functions. Allworx has found that there are always improvements to be made. They strive to provide the most current and up to date product as possible. Telcom & Data is excited to provide Allworx’s newest version of Server Software. Release 188.8.131.52 is a great extension to their line of products.
Many of the changes have improved the user friendliness of the software. Version 184.108.40.206 includes a simplified call transfer system. One of the additions to the system is a one-step transfer. With this method a call can be transferred with one button. Once the button is pressed the transferor can announce the transfer or hang up. The call is transferred when the phone is hung up. Another new feature is a dialed transfer. This method to transfers the current call using the handset’s Transfer button. The transferor simply presses the Transfer button, dials the number of the recipient and then hangs up. The call is again transferred when they hang up. A simplified method to transfer a call to a voicemail box is also included. The transferor just has to push the Transfer button, press a VMAIL soft key and dial the appropriate extension. The call is transferred as soon as the extension is dialed. Transfer methods used in previous releases will continue to work in a similar manner as before.
Another new feature is handset network profiles. This allows users to connect to different Allworx servers and to temporarily connect to their Allworx server from a different location. Users can connect to their Allworx server from their home’s network without having to manually change network settings. Users can also choose from a list of profiles when rebooting their phone. Admins can create and save an alternate profile (archive profile) on the phone or download a set of profiles from the allworx server.
