A stay at a rehab facility can be a daunting task; even for those that have admitted themselves to a program; knowing full well that they need professional help for an addiction. The goal of many good programs is to provide an environment that makes this stay as comfortable, safe and relaxing as possible for the patient. Doing this entails a high level of care for each client as well as care for the facility.
As part of a new public out reach program, Narconon Freedom Center, a residential facility in Albion, Michigan has completed a series of upgrades and beautification projects to its residential building. Some of the primary work on the center included painting the cafeteria, planting flowers around the facility and even installing a new boiler system. The facility also had its men’s bathrooms fully remodeled and purchased new furniture that was put throughout the lounge areas.
This is not the first time the center has upgraded their residential building as just months ago they did a full remodel of their women’s wing and followed it up with a grand opening of the area.
“Our recent upgrades helped us to ‘fine tune’ our entire facility,” says Brian Kuehne, Executive Director of Narconon Freedom Center. “Our goal is to continually improve our service and quality of stay at our center.”
Narconon Freedom Center has been in operation in the state of Michigan for 12 years. The 100-bed rehab opened its doors in 2001. The rehab program not only has continually upgraded their residential program building but also offers many activities and amenities to clients during their stay at the 4-6 month inpatient program.
“Recovering from addiction is not always an easy task,” adds Kuehne. “However with a clean and comfortable place to stay during this time, it can be something that can be enjoyable. Our goal is to make our clients as comfortable as possible during this process.”
Narconon Freedom Center is enrolling clients over the age of 18 that are struggling with alcohol or drug addiction problems. The success of the program, outlined in recent studies is that 7 out of 10 Narconon graduates stay off drugs one to two years after completing treatment.
