SAE International’s Harry L. Horning Memorial Award was presented to ten recipients at the Awards Ceremony during the 2013 SAE World Congress.
The recipients are as follows:
The Harry L. Horning Memorial Award, established in 1938 recognizes the author(s) of the best paper(s) regarding the better mutual adaption of fuels and internal combustion engines. The papers must be presented at a meeting of the Society or any of its sections. It may also be presented to an individual for a distinguished accomplishment in engine fuel relationships, in which case the individual is requested to present a Horning Memorial Lecture on an appropriate subject at a meeting of the Society.
The award is given in honor and preservation of the memory of SAE International’s 1925 President, Harry L. Horning, whose pursuit of improved mutual adaptability of engines and fuels served as motivation to others to follow in his footsteps.
