Nelnet Business Solutions has announced a change in the leadership structure of its higher education sales team. Peter Sanderson and Bob Gentile, two of Nelnet’s most seasoned leaders, will be taking on new roles effective immediately.
Peter Sanderson, formerly senior vice president with responsibility for the Northeast U. S., will move into the role of managing director and national sales manager for higher education. Since joining Nelnet in 2002, Peter has been dedicated to developing collaborative partnerships with universities that enable streamlined campus commerce and payment processing. Over the past decade, he has assisted higher education institutions implement e-billing and e-payment platforms, actively managed tuition payment plans, unified commerce management, comprehensive cashiering systems, student refund solutions and state-of-the-art information management technology.

In his role as national sales manager, Peter will lead a team of campus commerce professionals dedicated to serving schools and developing innovative strategies that lead higher education payment processing into the future. Peter received his bachelor’s degree from Fairfield University, and has completed postgraduate work at Columbia University.
Bob’s new role as executive vice president of community college strategies will enable him to work with community colleges across the nation, as well as to engage state, regional and national community college organizations in work that will bring increased access and affordability to schools and students and enhanced payment efficiencies in the business office and across campus.
