Women’s Excellence in Obstetrics and Gynecology's Physicians Appointed Clinical Faculty Status at Michigan State University's College of Osteopathic Medicine

Founded by Dr. Jonathan Zaidan in 1997, Women’s Excellence in Obstetrics and Gynecology (WEOG) and its associated specialty centers are striving to offer the most comprehensive health care for women in Southeastern Michigan. Recently, several of WEOG's physicians were appointed as Clinical Faculty at Michigan State University's College of Osteopathic Medicine.

In 1997, Dr. Jonathan Zaidan, MD, opened a solo OB/GYN practice in Lake Orion, Michigan. Today, Dr. Zaidan's practice is known in the community as "Women's Excellence". Women's Excellence in Obstetrics and Gynecology has 2 primary locations, in Lake Orion and Clarkston, as well as several specialty offices at the Lake Orion location - Women's Excellence in Midwifery, Women's Excellence in Endometriosis, Women's Excellence in Bladder Control, and the newest center, Women's Excellence in Menopause, set to open in July 2013. In addition to Dr. Zaidan himself, Women's Excellence employs four other physicians, seven nurse practitioners including three midwives, and over 30 medical assistants and office employees combined.

Recently, Jonathan Zaidan, MD, Rachel Lambert, DO, Ginger Connor, MD, and Gouri Pimputkar, DO were all appointed as clinical assistant professors at Michigan State University's (MSU) College of Osteopathic Medicine. "This is truly a great honor to be appointed with MSU. It allows us as experienced clinicians to take our knowledge and expertise and pass it on to the physicians of the future," stated Dr. Zaidan.

"One of the department’s objectives is to have clinical appointments granted only to those who provide evidence of significant, substantive contributions to the pre- and post-doctoral educational programs of Michigan State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine."
