A Venetian Builders, Inc., sales display in the Coconut Grove Home Depot has helped double the builder’s retail sales pace in the Miami neighborhood so far this year and helped push overall residential sales for the firm to 150 percent above 2012 levels, Venetian President Chris Noe said today.
“Homeowners are reacting favorably to our retail campaign in Coconut Grove, with retail inquiries about Coconut Grove patio covers, sunrooms and screen enclosures nearly equaling our consumer-direct inquiries,” Noe said. “Until late in 2012, we had no retail presence. Now sales are double in Coconut Grove and up for us throughout South Florida so far in 2013.”
Venetian has placed retail displays in 41 Home Depots in South Florida through March.
Venetian serves Miami-Dade, Monroe, Broward and Palm Beach County, where sales are increasing the most, Noe said.
“Coconut Grove is the oldest residential area of Miami, but people are finding that the newer building technologies associated with aluminum framing work well with their homes,” Noe said. “For instance, we’ve begun only in the past three months to offer giant skylights. The translucent panels excel at letting in abundant light when lots are heavily shaded with old trees, as many in Coconut Grove are.”
Miami building officials are wary of smaller, traditional skylights that must be cut into roofs, Noe said. “The giant IllumaView skylight panels are different because they are engineered to be an integral part of the roof system, right from the start,” Noe said. “They strong enough to meet the Florida Building Code.”
Custom-design capabilities appeal to owners of the type of homes found in Coconut Grove, Noe said. “We custom-design everything we build, no matter how big or small, and no matter the budget,” he said. “That helps us make a new room blend with the architecture of the home it expands, outside and in.”
Specifying heavier-gauge aluminum beams strengthens screen pool enclosures, Noe said. “Heavier-gauge beams look like lesser supports but offer greater wind resistance,” Noe explained.
Because of the technologies involved and building code requirements, aluminum-framed structures build more quickly than do additions constructed by traditional methods, Noe said. “We’re experienced and skilled at working with municipal officials, and that saves time, which lowers costs,” he said.
Besides serving Coconut Grove, Venetian builds Florida rooms, patio roofs, including pergolas and lattice, and swimming pool domes in all Miami neighborhoods. It also builds in West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, the Keys and all communities adjoining them or nearby.
