Executive Compass® is off to a good start this year — in more ways than one. The highly successful bid management firm recently announced that it has chosen Sense as its main charity for 2013. The firm wasted no time in revealing its plans to raise money for UK’s largest organisation dedicated to helping deaf-blind individuals and their families. Executive Compass® was thrilled to announce that managing director, Neil Capstick, will be running the “Marathon of the North,” and that the target amount to raise has been set at £2,000.
The leading bid management firm says it is also hoping to encourage other people to bid their support by logging into the Just Giving website and pledging donations towards Mr. Capstick’s run. Executive Compass® says that should their target amount be reached, Mr. Capstick will then undertake the Kielder Marathon in October 2013. Considered as “Britain’s most beautiful marathon,” the Kielder Marathon is a 26.2-mile race.
On the Just Giving page, Mr. Capstick shares his thoughts about Sense, “There are many charities, all worthy, but my choice was fairly easy. To be blind or deaf is a tremendous challenge, but to be both really is unimaginable. When I heard about the work that Sense does, it was a really easy decision to support them.”
Sense was established in 1955 as a support group for parents. The organisation has since expanded its services, which include housing, education, advice, and other practical assistance to the deaf-blind community.
In a recent statement, Executive Compass® underscored the importance of its selected charity organisation. “All of these services are essential and can significantly improve the lives of adults and children with sensory impairments. The amazing services that Sense provides to its beneficiaries all come at a cost, and without the generous donations from its supporters, the charity would not be able to help those in need. That is why we have decided to push our MD, Neil Capstick, to his limits to raise money for this great cause.”
Executive Compass isn’t stopping with their managing director. The company has also enlisted the support of its highly talented tender writers and other staff in raising more funds for its chosen charity. Among those who will be pitching in for this worthy cause are John Bilcliffe, Luke O’Neill, and head of marketing, Amanda Tate. Bilcliffe will be taking on The Great North Swim in June 2013 and O’Neill is set to conquer the Great North Run and the Blaydon Races. Meanwhile, Ms. Tate has committed to skydive.
In addition to the funds that will be raised through the company’s participation in various national races and sporting activities, Executive Compass® will also be donating a portion of the company’s earnings to Sense. The UK-based company reveals, “We are also committing to donate 2 percent of our professional fees to the charity from now until 28th April 2013. So, by choosing us to write winning PQQs and tenders, you will not only receive an excellent and professional service, but you will also be supporting a great cause.”
The UKAS-certified company not only offers the country’s best bid writing service, but also provides professional PQQ writing services and training for PQQ and bid and tender writing. Executive Compass® works with industries in cleaning, health and social care, print and publishing, facilities management, marketing and design, property maintenance, asbestos services, recruitment, security, and gas servicing.
