“I have planned enough bachelorette parties to know they require a ton of work and time. On the flipside, I worked with businesses looking for ways to attract more bachelorette parties, so it seemed obvious to create a site connecting both.

The digital company was conceptualized and developed by marketing professional and entrepreneur Courtney Smith, who identified the need for a time and money-saving solution for planning bachelorette parties and girlfriend getaways. “I have planned enough bachelorette parties and outings to know they require a ton of time and work – the planning process can be really stressful. On the flipside, I worked with several businesses looking for ways to increase revenue from bachelorette parties. It only made sense to connect consumers and businesses through a site that would help consumers, while allowing businesses attract a niche part of the market,” says Smith.
The website provides consumers a free, easy-to-use platform that features desirable venues for bachelorette parties and girlfriend getaways. Users can select accommodations, experiences, restaurants and other offerings in major cities throughout the country to create a customized digital itinerary. Users simply sign up, browse listings in each category in their city, and add their selections to a customized itinerary.
Other features include a gifts and favors section, free e-cards, and extensive editorial content covering topics pertaining to bachelorette parties, weddings, fashion, beauty, travel and entertainment. Currently, BASHelorette offers its services in the company’s hometown of Annapolis, Maryland. Baltimore, Washington, DC and Scottsdale/Phoenix will be offered in June 2013. The company anticipates opening ten more markets this year including Las Vegas, Miami, New York City and Chicago.
