Livermore, CA (PRWEB) January 31, 2013

The OSHA Training Center (OTC) at Chabot-Las Positas Community College District announced its partnership with four leading safety and health organizations in the Los Angeles area to provide U.S. Department of Labor OSHA courses at locations including Carson, Fullerton, San Bernardino, and Anaheim in California.

Julia Dozier, District Executive Director of Economic Development and Contract Education said, “We are excited about the opportunity to expand our OSHA training courses to our students throughout Southern California with our partners.”

This expansion brings vital OSHA training courses geographically closer to students in Southern California and allows them to more easily participate in Certified Safety and Health Official (CSHO) Professional Certificate Programs from OTC.

The OSHA Training Center's most popular courses have been scheduled to begin in February, giving students time to register and choose a location to attend the courses they need.

“The quality of education demonstrated by our partners including California State University-Fullerton, Associated Builders and Contractors-Southern California Chapter, and Technical Employment Training, Inc. exemplifies the high degree of excellence that OSHA Training Center students have come to expect,” Dozier added.

The OSHA Training Center is authorized by OSHA to deliver occupational safety and health training on behalf of OSHA. Students earn and maintain their OSHA credentials as well as earn OTC Continuing Education Units which can be applied to many safety professional designations including the BCSPs CSP, CHST, OHST and ABIH safety credentials.

The OTC instructors are industry safety professionals who bring the latest information, experience and techniques to the state-of-the-art classrooms and incorporate real world experiences into classroom instruction and hands-on learning exercises.

Dozier said, “We look forward to complementing our partners’ safety and health course offerings with our U.S. Department of Labor OSHA training courses.”
