Denver, CO (PRWEB) March 26, 2013
American Tube Technology, Inc., a small diameter tubing manufacturer, recently announced that its plans to power the entire Denver production facility with 100 percent solar energy would be complete by April.
The ambitious project will make American Tube Technology the world’s first 100 percent solar powered small diameter tubing manufacturer.
American Tube Technology, a family owned and operated business, manufactures millions of feet of stainless steel and specialty alloy tubing for a range of applications including the industrial, medical, food and beverage industries.
“We want to help keep the Colorado air clean and easy to breathe,” said Jeremy Askew, operations supervisor for American Tube Technology. “The company’s location in sunny Denver, Colorado, which averages over 300 days of sunshine helps make this investment viable.”
To complete the project, American Tube Technology partnered with Namaste Solar, a solar panel design and installation company based in Colorado. American Tube’s new solar panel array is expected to power its facility for the next 20 years.
By becoming 100 percent solar powered, American Tube Technology will be able to substantially save on operating costs, and pass those savings on to customers, Askew said.
The new panels will also reduce the likelihood of any downtimes in American Tube’s production levels during blackouts or brownouts in electrical power supply.
“Customers purchasing from American Tube Technology have the benefit of knowing that their product is produced by expert tube manufactures in the United States, and at the same time, with reduced impact on the environment,” Askew said.
“The quality is second to none.”
