Products for Good today announces the release of the "Purple Heart Shadowbox." The shadowbox features Iraqi coins from the historic Products for Good collection (http://www.productsforgood.com/info.htm), a purple heart coin and a branch challenge coin from the injured soldier's branch of service in the military.
Co-founder Lane Ostrow said, "In talking with our Customers, we found that everyone is looking for the perfect gift for a wounded soldier or the family of a soldier that was wounded or killed in action. We created a shadowbox that:
1) features coins taken from Iraq by coalition forces, the proceeds from which rebuilt an orphanage in Basra,
2) is assembled in the US, by mentally and physically disabled Americans that would not otherwise have jobs,
3) creates donation dollars for four military charities that support wounded veterans, and
4) beautifully honors the service of our military heroes.
Ostrow continued, "Wounded veterans and their families love this product because it not only honors the veteran's service, but creates a conversation piece that allows them to share the story of how Saddam's discarded coins are now being used create jobs for disabled Americans and provide funds for wounded veterans. The ultimate gift is one that is meaningful to the giver and receiver and also provides benefits to other people. The Purple Heart Shadowbox is just that gift."
