Each year the Portland Business Journal identifies the 40 top Portland, Oregon executives under the age of 40. This year CTL's Erik Stromquist made the prestigious list of the most successful, civic-minded and talented executives.
The magazine recognized that Erik is the rare executive who knows the numbers, the products, the marketing and has the vision to know how, when and where to expand the business in any climate. He has increased the bottom line, expanded its computer and Nexus Electronics, CTL's HDTV business, Solotronics, the importing and distribution of solar panels and PV related inverters while founding Retronics, CTL's much-admired e-waste recycling element.
His work has made CTL a nationally recognized leader.
Erik started at CTL after graduating from the University of Oregon in 1992 and is now Executive Vice President. CTL has given him the platform to innovate and he has taken advantage of the opportunity to let his rare combination of imagination and grounded financial skills to help the company flourish. His involvement in CTL's "2GoPC," a specialty laptop for kids has brought him international recognition.
