Winter Park, FL (PRWEB) August 18, 2009
The newly developed 32-month degree program is based on the core disciplines of the on-campus Game Art Bachelor of Science Degree Program and focuses on content creation for gaming consoles and computers. The new program is designed to develop artists well versed in 3D asset creation for game development.
Classes throughout the program cover everything from the basics of digital art creation through the latest trends and tools used by industry professionals. Some of the courses like Model Creation, Game Production, 3D Foundations, and Game Cinematic Assets, help students gain the proficiency required to improve content through the production process. Each class is taught by gaming industry professionals and is specially crafted around the same workflow processes found at professional gaming studios.
"Having the opportunity to teach Game Art online allows students from all over the world to participate in this great educational experience," said Pete Bandstra, Program Director of Game Art. "This helps students with a passion for gaming to develop the necessary skills to become part of a specialized group of artists designing for games."
