VFI Overseas Property has scooped three of the international property industry's most prestigious awards in the 2009 CNBC Europe and Africa Property Awards, in association with CNBC Arabia. The company took top honours in the Best Residential Real Estate Agency, Best Residential Real Estate Agency Marketing and the Best Architecture categories
Harry Fitzsimons from Ireland teamed up with Antonio Verlado from Southern Italy three years ago to launch VFI Overseas Property. The company is built on Antonio's knowledge of his native region, where his family have been in the construction industry in the toe of Italy for generations. Along with Harry's knowledge with over 25 years of experience in the construction industry commercial and retail sector, together Antonio and Harry bring professionalism, excellence and wealth of unlimited experience.
Within three years VFI Overseas Property have become the largest real estate agent - developer developing Southern Italy - Calabria and are now recognised as one of the most successful property companies in Europe.
The judges were particularly impressed by the quality of service and customer care offered by the VFI Overseas Property, the innovative marketing strategy so successfully applied by the company and by its stylish and cutting edge environmental approach to design.
VFI Overseas Property is developing over a dozen luxury 5 start developments on both the beautiful Tyrrhenian and Ionian coasts in the very south of the Italian peninsula and markets the properties through a worldwide network of over 400 agents with offices in Dublin, Italy, Moscow, St Petersburg and Tunis and others to open in the near future in Sweden, Poland, Austria and Germany.
The competition forms part of the International Property Awards, the world's leading competition dedicated to finding the best real estate professionals across the globe. As winners of the three important categories VFI Overseas Property now goes forward to compete against companies from Asia Pacific, the Americas and Arabia to find the ultimate world's best in each category.

The entries were judged by a panel of professionals whose collective knowledge of the property industry is unique. Chairman of the Panel was Eric Pickles MP, the chairman of the Conservative Party, Ben Wood who heads the Google UK property division, Peter Bolton King who serves as Chief Executive of the National Federation of Property Professionals, Imtiaz Farookhi who is the Chief Executive of the National House Building Council, Christopher Hall who is the President Elect of the FIABCI, Wilhelm Harnish of the Master Builders of Australia, Thijis Stoffer of the International Consortium of Real Estate Agents Association, Helen Shield the editor in chief of the International Homes Luxury Collection magazine and Gillian Farr who is the head of design with Laura Ashley Home.
The awards will be presented at a Gala dinner at a top Grosvenor Square Hotel in Mayfair in central London in October.
Earlier this year VFI Overseas Property also scooped another prestigious award, the 2009 Overseas Living Magazine Award for the best 5 star development in Italy.
