Biggs|Gilmore a Top Winner at 2009 WebAwards

Competing against some of the best interactive work in the world, digital agency Biggs|Gilmore won 20 WebAwards in an annual competition sponsored by the Web Marketing Association. For the sixth straight year, Biggs|Gilmore also made the WebAwards list of most-awarded agencies.

From design to development to copywriting to usability, a lot goes into creating an award-winning site

Competing against some of the best interactive work in the world, digital agency Biggs|Gilmore won 20 WebAwards in an annual competition sponsored by the Web Marketing Association. For the sixth straight year, Biggs|Gilmore also made the WebAwards list of most-awarded agencies.

This year Biggs|Gilmore tied for third for overall awards won.

“From design to development to copywriting to usability, a lot goes into creating an award-winning site,” said Andy Gould, senior vice president/executive creative director. “For our group to win awards for 20 different sites is a real achievement.”

Biggs|Gilmore won seven Outstanding Website awards, including three for Kellogg’s Pop-Tarts and two for Kellogg’s Apple Jacks. The agency also won Outstanding Website awards for SpaSensials and Raisin Bran Crunch.

In addition, Biggs|Gilmore took home 13 Standard of Excellence awards for Kelloggs.com, Beaumont Hospitals, Beaumont Children’s Hospital, Greater Kalamazoo United Way and brands such as Smart Start, Ready Crust, Morningstar Farms, Pop-Tarts, Rice Krispies, Apple Jacks, Cottonelle and Kotex.

“This is the third consecutive year we’ve been one of the top five agency winners” said Marino Puhalj, senior vice president/executive creative director. “That’s a level of consistency we’re very proud of.”
This year’s competition included sites for Jeep, Bank of America, Sony, Adidas, Microsoft, Sprint, Porsche, M&M’s, Volvo, and Coca-Cola.
More than 2,000 sites from 45 countries were adjudicated in 96 industry categories during this year's competition. Entries were judged on design, copy writing, innovation, content, interactivity, navigation and use of technology.
