October 29, 2002, Hollywood, CA -- Two separate Saturday music mini-conferences are being hosted by Janet Fisher, Goodnight Kiss Music Publishing, for any songwriter or musician who is interested in pitching songs or music business education.
The meetings will be held at the Songwriters Guild on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood, California, on November 16 and 23, from 11:00am-4:00pm. The five hour schedule includes mentoring, three song pitch sessions and evaluations, and extensive Q&A from the audience.
The cost for either Saturday is $50.00. Class size is limited to 50. Information is online at:
Fisher is a long-time songwriter and music publisher for Film and TV, as well as a producer of products and live shows.
Out-of-area writers may also enroll online, and send a one or two song package, with typed lyric sheet, and a list of up to 5 specific music-career-related questions.
"So many people have songs that are really worthy, but just don't know if it's possible to turn them into income sources for the future -- there are lots of ways to look for creative uses," Fisher states "Each case is different -- each writer/artists' needs are individual -- we are trying to improve the traditional class situation that only addresses the generic."
Fisher also believes her classes are unique because she only hosts a class when she or another person is actually LOOKING for songs to sign, AND she counsels each attendee about their personal stumbling blocks and questions.
Information about the class may be obtained by sending an SASE to:
