New York, NY (PRWEB) May 7, 2007
BreakThru Radio (BTR), the Internet's source for the World's Best Independent Music, eagerly announces the premiere of it's very special new show, 'BP Fallon's Wang Dang Doodle,' hosted by rock'n'roll legend BP Fallon. In this exclusive new show, BP Fallon will be guiding BTR listeners through his own picks. 'BP Fallon's Wang Dang Doodle,' which will air every Friday, can be found only on http://www.breakthruradio.com.
Fallon started DJing on the radio in his native Ireland as a 17 year old before moving to London to work at The Beatles Apple Records - where one of his jobs was testing Paul McCartney's grass - before becoming publicist and career adviser to T.Rex, Led Zeppelin and Bob Geldof's Boomtown Rats. He managed former New York Doll Johnny Thunders and on U2's global Zoo TV tour BP was billed as 'Guru, Viber & DJ'. Fallon now lives in New York and Dublin and manages NYC's hottest new band Semi Precious Weapons.
BP Fallon has turned up on TV miming bass guitar with John Lennon, is name checked by Marc Bolan in the T.Rex hit Telegram Sam as "Purple Browed Beep" and is described by U2's Bono as "A rock'n'roll creature. The only white black man I know apart from Bob Dylan".
"I'm thrilled to be playing music on BreakThru Radio," proclaims Fallon. "We're in a very exciting time in the music business, what with the anachronistic status quo of the major recording corporations crumbling and new methods of hearing music - like MySpace, YouTube, and BTR - stronger than ever."
The addition of BP Fallon to the BTR team is an especially unique treat for listeners.
"BP Fallon brings a different viewpoint to the station," explains BTR Music Director Annie Russell. "He has a lot to bring to the table, thanks to his vast experience in many different genres and music scenes from around the world."
'Wang Dang Doodle' kicks off today on BTR and will be available in the station's archive and program guide, along with all of BTR's weekly shows and specialty programs. Listeners can tune in to hear BP Fallon's eagerly awaited playlist by visiting http://www.breakthruradio.com.
