It’s time consuming and expensive to pinpoint the root cause of a virtualization problem in a timely and accurate manner. We use eG to automate and accelerate discovery and resolution of performance issues

Tampa, FL (PRWEB) August 14, 2012

CloudVDI, LLC and eG Innovations today announced a partnership in which CloudVDI will use eG Innovations advanced performance management solutions as an integral component in CloudVDI’s Virtual Desktop service. Cloud VDI will also resell eG Innovations products to its Citrix consulting client base.

CloudVDI offers a Virtual Desktop subscription service, offering businesses the ability to run Windows OS and compatible software on any CPU and mobile device through CloudVDI’s hosted servers. CloudVDI clients can set up and manage employee computing resources on an extremely cost-effective basis, with scalable access to up to 16+ Teraflops of computational power, 196 Gb of RAM, Dual Socket 8 Core processors and unlimited storage per Virtual Desktop. Processing power, memory and hard disk space are available on-the-fly so businesses can stay connected and productive, from any location, on any device – with no capital expenditure.

According to CloudVDI Co-founder Ryan O’Connor, “It’s time consuming and expensive to pinpoint the root cause of a virtualization problem in a timely and accurate manner. We are pleased with eG Innovations capability to automate and accelerate the discovery, diagnosis and resolution of performance issues across our virtual and cloud environments. It was a natural extension to further partner with them to resell their solutions to our clients.” CloudVDI was founded by Ryan O’Connor, Austin Hurst and Zach Hurst.

“Manual performance diagnosis of virtualized IT environments is virtually impossible due to their highly dynamic and heterogeneous development, said eG Innovations Co-founder and CEO Srinivas Ramanathan. “Our patented automated technology delivers deep insight into virtual application performance, which is critical for rapid and accurate diagnosis of performance problems. CloudVDI’s integration of our solution in their service offerings is a great endorsement of our capabilities to provide unparalleled support for virtualization initiatives. We are pleased to be partnering with CloudVDI.”

CloudVDI brings the advantages of enterprise-class cloud technology and services to Small and Medium Businesses (SMB) that are normally only available, to very large organizations due to significant cost and complexity - transforming a potentially massive capital expenditure into a manageable monthly operating expense. CloudVDI coupled their customized software with Citrix Solutions to create a high performance universal client that enables on-demand delivery of CloudVDI-hosted Virtual Desktops to any user or device—including PCs, Macs, tablets and smart phones. Security is assured through the Citrix Access Gateway™ SSL VPN, providing CloudVDI customers secure and user-specific remote access to their desktops by protecting all network traffic. Performance is further guaranteed with the use of eG Innovations Performance Management Solutions.

CloudVDI differs from current industry solutions by hosting the solution for clients versus the client having to build and manage their own solution using a local server environment. This extends access and security outside of the local area network and provides employee access to work-issued desktops outside of the office from multiple access points. Furthermore, users can operate higher-end software from thin clients and tablets. Monthly subscription plans are available and customers may add additional services, including increased processing (Up to 16 Cores), increased Memory (Up to 196GB), increased Hard Disk Space (Limitless) and additional software licenses.

CloudVDI has a 15 desktop minimum order; however, the company has enacted a pilot program during its launch phase for organizations desiring to test Virtual Desktops.
