San Diego, CA (PRWEB) April 05, 2013

Ability Center, the Southwest’s preferred provider of high-quality wheelchair vans, handicap accessible vehicles and mobility products, is proud to announce its participation as a regional sponsor in the “My Finish Line” movie and music tour, sponsored by BraunAbility.

The “My Finish Line” tour is based off the story of former INDYCAR racer, Sam Schmidt, who became tetraplegia after a racing accident in 2000. Following the accident, country-music artist, Michelle Murray met Schmidt when she was performing at a racing event in 2009. So inspired by Schmidt’s spirit and optimism, Murray wrote the song “It Won’t Be If But When (Sam’s Song).” The song later became the soundtrack to “My Finish Line”, a film that puts the spotlight on the amazing story of Sam Schmidt and his struggle in overcoming adversity. The tour celebrates Schmidt’s story, as well as providing awareness and hope for the stories and struggles of handicapped individuals across the United States.

Currently, three Ability Center locations will be stops on the tour, which includes 120 stops in all 50 states. These exciting events will include stops by the “My Finish Line” tour bus and information on the Sam Schmidt Paralysis Foundation. Select locations will also feature acoustic performances by Michelle Murray. Copies of the “My Finish Line” DVD will also be available.

The event will be coming to the following Ability Center locations: Phoenix on April 18th, San Diego on April 23rd, and Tucson on April 24th.
