Absolute Rights and Managing Editor Tim Young have compiled articles for issue number 92 of their semiweekly digital Newsletter. In it, Young and Absolute Rights contributors focus on the most important and intriguing news and opinion from the last several days.
The featured article is a close up of President Obama and the way the media tends to portray him. Young wrote that Obama will likely use the storm-ravaged East Coast as an opportunity to gain a campaign advantage.
“I would expect him to take a tour of the damage as soon as possible before Election Day, and then we'll hear a barrage of statements from his campaign and media about how George W. Bush didn't move as quickly during Katrina,” wrote Young. “A lot of people may say that I'm off or being inappropriate for making that accusation, but I'd ask those same people to prove me wrong.”
Speaking of Hurricane Sandy, the Crisis Ops portion of the Newsletter said that “The terrible storm has begun to hit the major metropolises of the East Coast yesterday and continues to rage on today… How would you react to it?”
Followers of Absolute Rights know the importance of stocking up on supplies, before the stores run out.
“As predicted, food and water flew off the shelves in many of the major metro areas,” said the article. “It was impossible to find supplies for miles around, proving once again that being prepared will keep you more secure in a crisis.”
The Contender’s Corner article was written by Young, and discusses the possibility of “late voting” due to Hurricane Sandy.
“The Obama camp is concerned that people in the North East won’t have the opportunity to vote in the election due to a storm pushing through the region the week before the election,” the article said.
The ridiculousness of modern propaganda is the topic of the Global Watch article, which covers the reveal of China’s air force mix-up, which used a scene from ‘Top Gun’ in their video.
“Unfortunately for the Chinese state news organization, film buffs raised one too many eyebrows at the plane exploding, then turned back to the classic footage,” the article said.
