Heritage Woods of Belvidere, a BMA affordable assisted living community, will be holding a Fall Prevention program at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 22.
The community, which is located at 4730 Squaw Prairie Rd. in Belvidere, Illinois, is the only senior living community in Boone County, Illinois, to be certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program.
"With the ice and snow of winter making it more difficult for us to stay on our feet, we want to help you stay on your toes by providing some helpful tips to reduce your risk of falling," says Robin Bertram, Director of Marketing for Heritage Woods of Belvidere.
The Fall Prevention program is open to the public. There is no charge to attend.

Information about the affordable assisted living lifestyle that is available at Heritage Woods of Belvidere for adults 65 and older of all incomes, including those on Medicaid, also will be available.
"Heritage Woods provides a wonderful residential alternative to a nursing home or to struggling alone at home," says Bertram. "Residents benefit from the opportunity to live in a private apartment and receive personal assistance and help with medications."
Each of the apartments features a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, and an emergency alert system.
Certifiied nursing assistants are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Meals, housekeeping and laundry are among the included services.

Heritage Woods of Belvidere is managed by BMA Management, Ltd., the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois.
