Baker Electric, Inc. launched its yearlong 75-year anniversary commemoration with a festive company Setenta y Cinco de Mayo Happy Hour celebration on May 3, 2013.

Baker employees donned dark green t-shirts in the color affectionately known as “Baker Green” and outlined a large 75 for an aerial photograph before enjoying refreshments and hangout time.

More than 100 employees gathered in Baker’s corporate headquarters’ pre-fab warehouse area for an afternoon Setenta y Cinco de Mayo Happy Hour. The Baker family of companies were represented with employees from Baker Electric, Inc., the electrical contractor company, and NB Baker Electric, Inc. dba Baker Electric Solar. The three-hour event included music, decorations and light refreshments.

Baker has a company-wide annual summer picnic and casual happy hour events throughout the year to promote inter-department mingling and provide an opportunity to meet new employees. The Setenta y Cinco de Mayo Happy Hour was of particular significance because it launched the company’s yearlong celebration of its 75th anniversary. Employee events throughout 2013 will continue to recognize the history and future of the company.
