Bluff has built a reputation for quality products with short lead times and this new piece of equipment will allow our production crew to take on more projects producing more products with the same high standards.

Fort Worth, Texas (PRWEB) May 13, 2013

Bluff Manufacturing, an innovative leader in the fabrication and design of high quality material handling, dock and warehouse equipment, storage structures, and safety barriers, is excited to announce the purchase of a state-of-the-art Plasma Cutter which will improve efficiency in the company’s production process. Bluff’s quality products will take a shorter time to produce.

Bluff Manufacturing’s modern plasma cutter allows cutting of plates up to 2” in thickness. With true hole capability, Bluff is now able to cut more accurate hole dimensions than their old iron worker machine. It also greatly expedites the cutting process. The former machine had a cutting rate of 50-75 feet per minute, while the new plasma cutter has a speed of 150-174 feet per minute. Due to its speed, the machine will be especially helpful in improving lead times for time sensitive projects.

“Bluff has built a reputation for quality products with short lead times and this new piece of equipment will allow our production crew to take on more projects producing more products with the same high standards,” says Andrea Curreri, President of Bluff Manufacturing.

The new plasma cutting table facilitates cutting up to a 20’x8’ piece of material. The groundbreaking accuracy of the table allows Bluff Manufacturing to process much more difficult pieces and fine work in aluminum and steel. Drawings are downloaded directly from the engineering department’s AutoCAD through a wi-fi connection. Additionally, everything at Bluff Manufacturing is now being cut in-house, helping to cut down lead times even further.
Bluff Manufacturing is committed to finding new and inventive ways to improve their product line. The new plasma cutting machine will be a significant contributing factor to the enhanced quality of Bluff’s available products.
