The staff at Certified Payment Processing (CPP) has gotten smaller. Recently, the employees at CPP competed in an eight-week weight loss contest. Participation was voluntary, and the participants weighed in weekly. At the beginning of the contest, it was announced that awards would be given for the most weight lost and the highest percentage of body weight lost.

The contest ended on March 29, and rather than two winners, one person proved to be a dual “loser.” Bryon Marshall, who works in Sales Support, lost nearly 15 pounds and more than 5.5 percent of his body weight.

During the contest, the entire staff received communications about good nutrition, healthy living, useful weight loss tips, exercise options and motivational messages. CPP provides discounts to local fitness centers as part of the benefit package and sends monthly emails to the employees, promoting good health habits.
