AgapeWORKS has announced the Congregational Needs feature of its total church management software, designed to bring “love thy neighbor” into the 21st century. AgapeWORKS is a free online service that allows small and growing staffs to manage their churches’ needs without hiring an expensive IT company. Its Congregational Needs feature lets church members post any need online, for other members of the congregation to see and respond to as they are able – enabling the church body to show God’s love as never before.
The AgapeWORKS system allows all members of a church to register on the church’s profile; once registered, any of the members who has a need can post it for other members to see. A need could be anything – from simple prayer to help around the house to community projects – and other members of the congregation with the time, ability or heart to help can volunteer to do so. The church bulletin board is no longer the only way for needs to be announced and met.
The new Congregational Needs tool brings church members closer to their church family and to their community, and provides an effective and simple tool for members of the church to exercise their faith outside of the building. Congregation members become aware of needs they might otherwise have never heard about, allowing them to show God’s love to their brothers and sisters in Christ and to be faithful disciples in the community as a whole.
