Coolcore Introduces Industry's First Chemical-Free Cooling Material

“The cooling category is exploding right now and we’re excited to be in a leadership position,” commented Justin Cupps, president at Coolcore.

Portsmouth, NH (PRWEB) April 24, 2013

US Patent and Trademark Office Has Granted Approval for Patent Protection of the Coolcore Technology

Coolcore, the global leader in cooling innovation, today unveiled the industry’s first chemical-free cooling material for the textile market. This material recently received patent protection as the only innovation that delivers three distinct functions – wicking, moisture circulation and regulated evaporation to reduce the fabric’s surface temperature up to 30 degrees. In addition to the cooling benefits, the material is significantly drier due to its non-cling, non-saturated nature, and because it is chemical-free, the cooling benefit never washes out.

“The cooling category is exploding right now and we’re excited to be in a leadership position,” commented Justin Cupps, president at Coolcore. “While we’ve seen an increase in competition recently, there’s no other product in the marketplace that offers these three distinct functions and provides them chemical-free.”

Coolcore recently earned the “Excellence in Technology” recognition from the world-renowned Hohenstein Institute, recognized globally since 1946 for its market leading testing systems serving the textile industry.

“The industry has said that ‘dry is cool,’ but we disagree and the testing has supported that position,” said Ryan Drew, chief marketing officer. “Rather than a simple wicking function, our moisture-activated cooling technology makes sweat work for athletes and on-the-go consumers.”

Coolcore’s distribution channels include: exclusive partnerships with brands such as MISSIONAthletecare, whose EnduraCool product line is powered by Coolcore’s material innovation; the launch of Dr. Cool Recovery-On-The-Go wraps this fall, and the debut of a Coolcore performance cooling apparel for Spring 2014.

Cupps is leading the company’s expansion, leveraging his experience at global consumer brands, including adidas and AND1. In addition to Drew and Cupps, Coolcore has added Nick Skally as director of marketing and Kelly Glowik as business unit manager, who join Founder and Chief Technology Officer Dennis Ackroyd.

Key investors for Coolcore include Founder and CEO of Burch Creative Capital J.
Christopher Burch, who has co-founded and invested in many global consumer brands such as C. Wonder, Jawbone, Powermat, Voss Water and Tory Burch to name a few; and Mark Stebbins, owner of Pro-Con Incorporated, a New England construction management company, and developer and operator of Marriott and Hilton hotel properties, as well as a comprehensive real estate portfolio through Stebbins Commercial Properties. Both have provided resources and guidance to support the upcoming product launches and international expansion.
