DB Pargman Consulting LLC, the national HR consulting firm specializing in Sensitivity and Anti-Harassment training, has been awarded a General Services Administration Federal Supply Schedule Contract. The award, under GSA Schedule 738X Human Resources and EEO Services, authorizes all federal agencies and activities in the executive, legislative and judicial branches to purchase DB Pargman Consulting services through the GSA Schedules Program.
Founder and CEO Deena Pargman, Ph.D. says she undertook the year-long process of obtaining the federal contract at the initial request of a client in the Department of the Army. “When multiple federal clients kept telling me they could use more of our services if we were on the GSA Schedule” Dr. Pargman recalls, “I knew this was something we had to do.”
“Federal employees, managers and officers face many of the same workplace issues related to diversity, harassment, and sensitivity in the workplace as our non-governmental clients, but for many government purchasing agents, retaining a top tier service provider is not as easy as getting a referral and making a phone call” Pargman explains. DB Pargman has provided anti-harassment and diversity training to federal government clients including the Army, the Federal Aviation Administration, and the Social Security Administration prior to the GSA Award; however, being added to the GSA Supply Schedule will make the process of retaining the firm’s services more efficient and less expensive for the government.
The GSA Supply Schedule Contract award involves a rigorous application process designed to ensure federal purchasing customers fair and reasonable pricing and compliance with federal procurement regulations as well as environmental and socioeconomic requirements. In addition, the program is designed to provide the federal purchasing customer a simplified process for obtaining commercial supplies and services.
It took over a year to prepare for the application process, but once all the required items were submitted, “I was impressed with the speed and professionalism of the GSA. It made me feel good as a service provider and a taxpayer.”
While the award was issued the first week of February, it will be at least another month before the Atlanta based firm’s human resources consulting services will appear in the GSA’s online eLibrary of services and products available to federal purchasers.
