Lake Ozark, MO (PRWEB) December 31, 2012
Spa-goers looking for a facial treatment to provide a fresh new look for the New Year will find results at one of the Midwest’s top resort spas, Spa Shiki at the Lodge of Four Seasons, on Missouri’s Lake of the Ozarks. Spa Shiki’s new Dermaroller Facial prepares the skin for deep product penetration to renew the skin and provide a youthful appearance. A medical device used to break down old scar tissue and stimulate the proliferation of new skin cells, the dermaroller spurs the formation of new elastin and collagen fibers, plus improves the blood supply to the skin.
“The Dermaroller Facial goes beyond traditional therapy to deliver optimum results – a medical grade treatment that takes healing and rejuvenation beneath the skin’s surface,” said Spa Shiki Director and former International Spa Association Board Member Ann Brown.
Spa Shiki’s unique Dermaroller Facial (50 minutes, $95) begins with a marine gel cleanser to deep clean, followed by a marine moisturizing mist and serum, specific to skin type and needs. Next, the dermaroller’s tiny micro-needles gently roll across the skin, leaving thousands of tiny micro-hole channels temporarily open to allow better penetration of nutrient-rich creams and serums. The natural regeneration process of the skin closes the micro-holes and increases the production of two of the most important skin proteins, collagen and elastin, to leave the skin more supple and fresh. An algae mask (red or green, depending upon skin needs) follows, then the application of peptides or growth factor serum and use of ultrasound to allow for deep product penetration.
One of the largest resort spas in the Midwest, Spa Shiki has been featured in Midwest Living, AAA Midwest Traveler, SELF magazine, NBC’s Today Show and more. Spa Shiki was recently honored by SpaFinder Wellness with the 2012 Reader’s Choice Awards in three categories: Best for Families, Best for Girlfriend Getaways and Bachelorette Parties and Best for Golf.
The Lodge of the Four Seasons is located alongside Missouri’s Lake of the Ozarks, which is situated in the heart of the state and one of the Midwest’s most popular travel destinations. The property is a premier resort destination that offers boating, shopping, hiking, fishing, golfing and state parks, as well as top restaurants and entertainment. The lake itself has more than 1,150 miles of shoreline and 55,000 acres of surface area, and the region welcomes 3.5 million tourists between Memorial Day and Labor Day each year.
