Springfield, MO (PRWEB) March 02, 2013

Midwest company EDC announces merger and expansion with a Memphis company and creation of up to 15 local manufacturing jobs.

After months of negotiations, Executive Data Control and Sundial Shirt Company are merging and expanding, bringing an anticipated $4.5 million in revenue and $100,000 additional capital investment.

EDC anticipates the creation of up to 15 manufacturing jobs in Springfield, Missouri, as part of the merger and expansion, along with a facility expansion of 4,500 sq.ft.. "We will be adding another automatic screen printing machine to Sundial’s already sizeable collection,” said Steve Visio, president of EDC.

EDC has experienced 23 percent growth since 2010 and anticipates a 24 percent sales increase in 2013 for sales of over $4.5 million.

The new company will go by EDC and provide management services for decorated apparel, identity, and promotional products programs with a focus on customer service, technology, and savings.

John Wachob, founder of Sundial Shirt Company, a ten-year-old screen printing company based Memphis,TN, will serve as EDC’s vice president and co-owner. This merger allows Wachob to continue leading the amazing growth he has experienced in 2012 with sales of over $1.2 M, and combine it with the growth Executive Data Control has experienced over the same time frame. "Combining the strengths of Sundial Shirt Company and EDC will make for a very bright future,” says Wachob. “The services and products we can now offer will be very attractive to our existing customers and new customers that we will begin relationships with in the greater Springfield area."

EDC is well positioned to expand its services that the family-owned business has built over the last 46 years to include production of screen-printed decorated apparel. Wachob brings more than 10 years experience in the screen printing industry, while EDC adds full embroidery and digital print as well as online eStores to Wachob’s capabilities.
