“An alarming incident recently occurred at a college in the U.S.” reports David Moulder, co-owner of Instant People Check, LLC, an instant criminal background checking company.
A faculty member had an eye opening firsthand experience that won’t be soon forgotten. For weeks, a student attended a class and appeared to be like everyone else. This student was attending lectures on a timely basis, seemed intelligent and was respectful to the instructor and the rest of the class. The exact details as to what triggered the student’s unusual behavior are unknown. But, something frustrated the student enough to make threats toward the college. Immediately this incident was reported to school officials and the police. The school security was put on alert and the police put out a warrant for this person’s arrest.
According to Moulder, “upon further investigation, a college student background check was performed on this individual after the incident. It was discovered that this ‘ordinary’ student was wanted for other and potentially serious violations. Had this person kept their intentions silent, we may have suffered another tragic school situation.”
As reported by philly.com, since the beginning of the new school year in September, there have been bomb threats and subsequent evacuations at the University of Texas, North Dakota State University, Fargo and Hiram College in northeast Ohio.
"Although, a very large percentage of people who attend colleges and universities are safe, all it takes is one to completely change the lives of other students and faculty,” says Moulder.
With the concern over increasing college violence, advocates are looking into new ways to make colleges safer for students and faculty.
Moulder continues, “The lesson we should learn from these incidents and information is due diligence in pre-screening and national background checking. Though it won’t always guarantee complete safety, it may help prevent a potential horrific incident from occurring.”
Instant People Check, LLC believes that all schools should perform criminal searches on their students and faculty to insure the best possible environment for safety. Although many colleges perform background checks, there are still a large percentage of ones who do not, and could put themselves at risk for student safety and liability. According to securitydirectornews.com, only 16% of colleges reported conducting a student criminal background check on applicants.
A report from the Christian Science Monitor states that a shocking 1 in 37 people in the USA having spent time in a criminal institution. With incarceration rates on the increase and Social Security numbers being falsified, the excellent services offered by http://www.InstantPeopleCheck.com are more important now than ever before. Moulder advises that, "important decisions should not be left to chance when the security of a cost-effective background check is readily available."

With over a billion searchable criminal records at their disposal, county, state, federal, student and sex offender data is all easily accessible. They even offer Social Security verifications.
