Despite his young age Josh Taerk has already gained fans among rock royalty including, Bruce Springsteen’s drummer and Ex-Band leader for Conan O'Brien on NBC, Max Weinberg.
Max calls Josh, “The most exciting new talent I have come across in years.”
Max goes on to say, “I've known, and played with, a few singer/songwriters in my time, and I can tell you, Josh Taerk has what it takes.”
Josh is no freshman though, he has opened for The Max Weinberg Big Band in South Orange New Jersey, and even performed at the John Oates Aspen Songwriters Festival in April of 2011. In June of 2011 Josh performed at Summerfest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin as a special guest. In the last year alone, Josh has done three very well received tours in the UK performing throughout Scotland, England and Wales.
Locally he was invited to perform during Canada’s Walk Of Fame Festival at Nathan Phillips Square last September, and his popularity is only growing.
Doug Sloan and John Stevens, the owners of Talent INC Canada said that when they were creating their line up for the National Conference it only seemed natural to invite Josh.
"Josh embodies the Canadian spirit that we wanted to capture and showcase to an international audience," says Sloan.
At the conference, Josh sang an acoustic set, and really set the tone for the rest of the weekend. He left the audience awe-struck after his rendition of Elton John's, Rocket Man. The crowd lined up for autographs, and CD's as well as pictures on the red carpet.
