Sarasota, FL (PRWEB) November 29, 2012
Demonstrating the international nature of Dattoli Cancer Center’s patient population, the Fall 2012 issue’s feature story profiles Dr. Tom Ward, an American dentist living and practicing in Tokyo for the past 40 years. In addition to sharing the story of his successful prostate cancer treatment by Dr. Michael Dattoli, Dr. Ward provides a personal account of the earthquake and tsunami that struck northern Japan in March 2011, and describes his efforts to provide relief to its victims.
Published seasonally, Journey chronicles the experiences of prostate cancer patients who have been treated at the Dattoli Cancer Center and offers useful information for their spouses, families, researchers and donors. Regular editorial features include book reviews and scientific articles relating to prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment.
According to DCF Director of Development Virginia “Ginya” Carnahan, APR, CPRC, “Our Fall issue is an excellent example of how Journey helps us engage and educate our communities. We know that Journey is being read and appreciated by our patients, their families, donors, researchers and others who want to advance the discussion of prostate cancer. Since the redesign and relaunch of the publication we’ve seen an increase in donations and visits to our Web site.”
The publication is distributed by mail and online.
