Austin, TX (PRWEB) May 15, 2013
Austin Oral Surgery has donated desperately needed items to Trinity Center, an Austin-area nonprofit that serves the homeless population.
Among the items donated were picnic packs with a napkin and utensils, sample and hotel-sized toiletries, mugs and plastic cups, single serving catsup, mustard, mayo, sugar and parmesan cheese. Trinity Center will use the items to provide better services to homeless individuals in Austin.
Incorporated in 2000, Trinity Center aims to serve the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of homeless people in Austin through a variety of direct assistance services, such as offering clothing to women, distributing bus passes, providing private showers and more.
“It’s great that we were able to support this worthy charity,” said Dr. Russell D. Cunningham, Austin Oral Surgery’s Lakeway dental implants surgeon. “Many people in Austin struggle with homelessness, but the work of this organization helps our neighbors get back on their feet.”
The doctors at Austin Oral Surgery have made an effort to support organizations that help those in the Austin area most in need. In 2013, they have donated to organizations that work with at-risk youth, sponsored events at local high schools and made a $20,000 donation to establish an endowment for community dental care.
