Over the past five thousand years, the world has gone into many wars. Some of the wars have almost destroyed mankind. The first of its kind was the nuclear war, where almost three billion people were killed. Now, something much worse is happening. A war is about to begin and this is something that the present military force can’t win, which is where Kiki, an ordinary fifteen year old girl comes in.

What Have We Done with the Stars?, an exhilarating sci-fi tale written by Leonardo Nasta tells the story of Kiki, a girl who is trapped in a timewarp after losing her balance and falling off from the side of the Grand Canyon. She thought that she had died but surprisingly, she is still alive only in the year 7024. Joseph, a man in his mid-thirties took care of her. He told her that the people Kiki is seeing are copies of those from her past. They are copied by a group of people and they are used to fight in a war to declare freedom from those who destroyed the world, killed many people, and turned them into copies of each other.

There is a war coming, and it is the kind of war that can destroy the entire world, including every living being on earth, as well as animals and nature. If the Rebels win this war, life will go back to the way it was before. Kiki will go back to her family in 2011. However, her family is imprisoned in the scientists’ lab. The scientists created the world Kiki lived in only for one purpose, world domination. When every scientist has entered the world and has enough people inside of it, they will rip apart the real world and blow it up until nothing survives, other than the programs the artificial world is built on. The Rebels must defeat the scientists before they release the people of Kiki’s world. If the scientists defeat the Rebels, it will mean certain death for all. Kiki is their only hope. She has a very special gift and she holds the key to the door that will open the bridge to the other side of the world. The Rebels depend on her because she is the chosen one and she needs to go to Japan to help release the bridge to open the wall. Kiki, is the last hope to save the world but will she be able to succeed?

What Have We Done with the Stars? will take readers at the edge of their seats from beginning. Leonardo Nasta has penned a brilliantly written story that allows his readers to explore their wildest imagination and takes them into two different worlds that are about to collide in a war, the real world of the past and the artificial world of the future.
