Baltimore, Maryland (PRWEB) January 15, 2013
The event will be later streamed on Youtube. Luke Cooper, who heads Baltimore based investment firm, Performant Capital Partners, will be talking about his own upbringing in the context of his upcoming book, which will serve as a practical toolkit to assist young adults and entrepreneurs to actualize success.
Raised by his single mom in the tough neighborhoods of Bridgeport, Connecticut, at the age of 12 Luke was required to testify against his own father who was subsequently sentenced to 20 years in prison. Luke pursued his education with the same passion he leads his life, graduating with honors from Syracuse University Law School and earning a graduate business degree in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Babson College.
"The book will be about the practical things that no one tells you. If you are poor, alone, and/or facing major life challenges, platitudes like 'believe in yourself' don't mean anything," said Luke Cooper, Attorney.
Luke Cooper, who has worked as a lawyer and investment banker, currently serves as a Board Member to Children's Scholarship Fund of Baltimore.
Cooper will be speaking to participants in the Living Classroom's Fresh Start and Project SERVE programs. He is committed to helping the parents, teachers, mentors and advocates design better solutions to serve our nation’s youth, a news release stated. The event will be located on the 3rd floor Founders Room at the Frederick Douglass - Isaac Myers Maritime Park, 1417 Thames Street, Baltimore, MD 21231.
