Mobile Fun, the UK’s leading online retailer of mobile device accessories, has announced the completion of its “MF20” initiative to launch 20 new international websites, 12 of which were launched in early 2013. The online retailer now has dedicated language and currency websites for 27 countries, while shipping orders to over 50.
After adding websites for the USA and Italy to its international portfolio in 2012, Mobile Fun launched its “MF20” initiative to accelerate its expansion plans by opening 20 further international websites by March 2013.
International websites are already contributing more than 36% of Mobile Fun’s total order volumes. During Q4 2012, Mobile Fun received over 46,000 orders on its international websites, which was up 57% on Q4 2011. The Company expects this growth trend to continue as the new websites provide a platform for accelerated future growth.
Independently owned and multi-award winning, Mobile Fun is forecasting £1.2m EBITDA for the current financial year. The Company recently announced that it is up for sale and is seeking new shareholders to support its ambitious growth plans.
Headquartered in Birmingham, UK, the online retailer’s first international website was launched in Germany in 2008 and is run by a team in Hamburg. In 2010, Mobile Fun opened its French website and Paris office. The company now also operates local offices in Spain and the USA.

The online retailer’s international teams have both local knowledge of consumers’ buying habits and specialist mobile sector expertise. Mobile Fun’s immediate plans include further localisation, launching local marketing campaigns and international recruitment. The Company is currently recruiting in Australia in response to strong demand following the launch of its Australian next week to begin the process of establishing a Mobile Fun presence down- under.”
In Europe, Mobile Fun now has dedicated websites for Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK. Further afield, the Company has websites for Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Korea and the USA.
