Louisville, Ky. (PRWEB) January 24, 2013
Marriott Louisville East, the only Bourbon-themed hotel, has been named an official sponsor of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail® adventure. With this partnership, the hotel will expand upon its Bourbon-related hospitality offerings.
Marriott Louisville East, located at 1903 Embassy Square Blvd., opened in June 2012 following a $30 million top-to-bottom rebuild that infused bourbon characteristics throughout the hotel and its 252 guest rooms. The hotel recently won Best New Marriott Product for 2012.
Bourbon barrels are dotted around the open-concept lobby as well as stone accents reminiscent of the Kentucky limestone that enhances Kentucky Bourbon’s flavor. The hotel also features carpeting depicting flames like those that char the inside of barrels and Bourbon and bluegrass-inspired artwork.
For guests looking to be fully immersed in a Bourbon experience, Marriott Louisville East will now offer a Bourbon Package. The package includes an overnight stay in a luxury guest room with a bourbon theme. It also includes a Bourbon-enhanced appetizer and flight of Bourbon at the hotel’s signature restaurant and bar Charr’d Bourbon Kitchen & Lounge, which carries more than 80 premium Bourbon brands, uses Bourbon in many of its food recipes and has an educated staff ready to guide guests through a unique Bourbon experience. Charr’d Bourbon Kitchen & Lounge is open seven days per week and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Marriott Louisville East has partnered with distilleries such as Four Roses, Jim Beam and Maker’s Mark to enhance the Bourbon décor throughout the hotel.
“Our partnership with the Kentucky Bourbon Trail allows us to enrich the overall experience for our guests here to enjoy Kentucky’s growing Bourbon culture,” said Jeff Thompson, the hotel’s general manager.
Thompson said that with the hotel’s convenient access to I-64 and proximity to the distilleries, it already sees a number of Kentucky Bourbon Trail® guests.
“We are extremely impressed with all that the Marriott Louisville East has done to further immerse our Bourbon guests into Kentucky’s spirited heritage,” said Adam Johnson, Director of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail®. “With its Bourbon-themed décor and wonderful Bourbon bar and restaurant, the Marriott Louisville East is the perfect hub for your entire Kentucky Bourbon Trail experience.”
Created by the Kentucky Distillers’ Association in 1999, the Kentucky Bourbon Trail® tour offers visitors a first-hand educational experience into the art and science of crafting the world’s greatest Bourbon.
The iconic journey features Four Roses and Wild Turkey in Lawrenceburg; Heaven Hill in Bardstown; Jim Beam in Clermont; Maker’s Mark in Loretto; Town Branch in Lexington and Woodford Reserve in Versailles.
