Members and guests of the NAPW Joplin, MO Local Chapter gathered in March and April for professional networking meetings at Logan’s Roadhouse.

The group of professional women got together at dinner networking events on April 27th and March 13th, and then again the following afternoons at follow-up recap lunch meetings.

At all meetings, members and guests discussed exciting upcoming Chapter plans and events, networked, supported each other on a professional level, and welcomed the Chapter’s newest members and guests.

Shanna Heckmaster, Joplin Chapter President, kicked off the April meeting by welcoming everyone and having attendees introduce themselves and speak about what they are doing currently with their careers. Shanna talked to the group about the Joplin Chapter meeting agenda and upcoming opportunities and events. The group of professional women also had plenty of time to network with one another.

“Members and guests exchanged their business cards and gave each other referrals,” said the Chapter President.

“They also shared the referrals they have gotten so far by networking with each other.”

Shanna awarded NAPW Pins to new members and offered a notepad as a welcome gift.

She invited members to join the Joplin Chapter Page to communicate with one another, see photos, hear local news, and provide comments.

During the networking event, members and guests discussed how to grow their careers and supported each other by offering tips on what one could do to better oneself.

“We gave one another ideas on what do to and what classes to take that could help us advance in our careers,” said Shanna

At the March meeting, members and guests once again had the opportunity to network with one another and offer career advice and tips. The group of professional women also spoke about the National Networking Conference on April 26th in New York City.

“We discussed every opportunity that NAPW offers, being that we had a lot of potential members attending,” said the Chapter President. “We discussed future speakers that would be beneficial and interesting to everyone.”

Shanna welcomed five new members to the group in March. She presented them with pins and notepads as welcome gifts. She reminded everyone to visit the Joplin Chapter Page to stay connected with other members and be up-to-date on the latest Chapter events, view photos, and provide comments. Shanna closed the meeting by congratulating the Chapter’s newest official member Vicki Daniels.

Joplin Chapter meetings are posted on the Joplin Chapter Page. All meetings are held at 6:00pm on Wednesday evenings once a month along with a follow-up recap lunch meeting on the following Thursday, once a month.
