Members and guests of the NAPW South Atlanta, GA Local Chapter and the NAPW North Atlanta, GA Local Chapter gathered on March 21st for a professional networking meeting at Sage Woodfire Tavern located in the prestigious Perimeter Atlanta area.
The Atlanta Chapters hosted a powerful networking event, The Art of Speed Networking, which brought together professional women from both Chapters for an exceptional evening of connecting and sharing.
The event was so successful that plans for a summer speed networking session are already in the works.
“What a dynamic event this turned out to be!” said Nancy Delgadillo, NAPW South Atlanta Local Chapter President.
“The event was such a success that we have decided to hold it quarterly; the next one is scheduled for Thursday, July 11th. Networking is an art and lifestyle and we were happy to share that with our members and guests.”
The evening began with a warm welcome by Nancy Delgadillo and Carol Zupancic, NAPW North Atlanta Local Chapter President.
Kimberly Wright, NAPW South Atlanta Local Chapter Vice President and expert speed dating host, explained the guidelines and benefits of speed networking, and served as host for the speed networking sessions.
More than 100 attendees participated in the speed networking sessions.
Members and guests brought along business cards and portfolios, as well as excellent elevator pitches and even iPad presentations, all of which went far in helping to promote their businesses and show others what they do.
“Throughout the evening, there was plenty of networking happening on and off the networking tables. We were over capacity, having to change the room setup three times,” said Nancy.
“Members, guests, and restaurant patrons just kept coming and we loved it. After all, our unofficial mantra is ‘Keep Calm & Join Us at an NAPW Atlanta event!’”
The group of professional women closed out the evening by surprising Nancy Delgadillo, NAPW South Atlanta Local Chapter President, with a birthday cake, candles, and all to wish her a happy birthday.
NAPW is an excellent way for like-minded professional women to network and support each other's goals.
Since the South Atlanta Chapter launched in January of 2012, over 1,100 women from business owners to corporate professionals to teachers to business coaches have joined in the monthly Chapter meetings.
The next South Atlanta Chapter meeting is Thursday, April 11th from 6:00 to 8:00pm.
The topic is Double Your Money in 2013, and the guest speaker is Monica Shah, Creator of Revenue Breakthrough, guiding women entrepreneurs through the process of leaving corporate to start their own companies.
All meetings are conveniently held in Buckhead.
