When a car and a bus collide, the car typically gets the bad end of the deal.
New York, New York (PRWEB) March 20, 2013
A car passenger died after the Porsche she was riding in hit a bus, reported the AP. After the collision, the car spun out of control and ended up “mangled on the median.” The bus landed on its side off the road. The upstate New York highway where the crash occurred was wet at the time of the accident, said the AP. Police are still working to determine if speed was a factor, New York auto accident lawyer David Perecman said.
The bus was carrying 34 college lacrosse players, three coaches and a driver from Vermont at the time of the accident. None of the bus passengers were injured, the AP said.
“When a car and a bus collide, the car typically gets the bad end of the deal,” said Perecman.
The cause of the accident, or why the Porsche driver lost control of the vehicle, is still unreported, the AP said. The relationship between the driver and passenger of the car is also unknown.
“If a loved one is lost due to the fault or negligence of another individual, close family members may have grounds for a wrongful death claim,” said Perecman. “A passenger killed in an accident while riding in a negligent driver's vehicle will typically pass on a wrongful death action to most immediate family members.”
