Cheerleading Blog, supported in part by cheerleading company Omni Cheer, has released the results of its latest online poll. Readers were asked if they were attending cheer camp and, if not, if they ever attended camp.
“Camp is a big deal for cheerleaders! Once summer approaches, cheerleaders start packing and preparing for camp. However, not all squads can afford to go or do not attend for other reasons. We wanted to see just how many are actually able to attend on a yearly basis,” said Melissa Darcey, Cheerleading Blog editor.
Based on the results, which offered four different options to choose from, more than half of all voters said that they were attending camp, and that they do every year. However, the next highest result – with nearly a fourth of the votes – said that will not be attending camp and never do.
“We were really interested in the results of this poll. We associate summer with camp, but for a decent portion of cheer squads, that’s not the case,” commented Omni Cheer marketing manager Jessica Rzeszut.
The poll, which was conducted this past month, was posted on the home page of the blog, as well as in a dedicated article. The full results, and other two options, of the poll can be viewed on Cheerleading Blog’s website.
A new poll is posted every month on the blog and the results are revealed the following month. To view the rest of this poll’s results, or to vote in the latest poll, visit the blog’s website.
