Auburn Hills, Michigan (PRWEB) February 26, 2013

Patti Engineering, Inc., a leader in control system integration, today announced, Steven Palmgren, director of Patti Engineering’s Austin, Texas branch, has earned his professional engineer (P.E.) license from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers. Palmgren is Patti Engineering’s third engineer to earn the professional engineer’s license.

In addition to his duties as director of the Texas branch, Palmgren actively leads the development of hardware and software designs for major client projects. Palmgren has been with Patti Engineering since 2001 and has more than 17 years of control systems experience from plant floor and assembly automation; to developing auto-drilling technology; to specializing in assessing and manipulating databases. Palmgren earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Computer Engineering from Kettering University in Flint, Michigan.

The Texas Board of Professional Engineers (Board) regulates the practice of professional engineering in Texas and enforces the Texas Engineering Practice Act by ensuring that the practice of engineering in the state is carried out only by those persons who are proven to be qualified. The terms "P.E." or "professional engineer" can only be used by persons who are currently licensed. To be eligible for a professional engineering license, engineers must have achieved certain professional milestones. They must have earned an engineering education, performed certain levels of engineering work experience, and passed specific examinations.

“We are very proud of Steve’s hard work and strong personal commitment to his career,” commented Sam Hoff, president of Patti Engineering. “Steve’s engineering talent has helped our company exceed growth goals in the southern region.”
