What happens if someone dies? It is believed that the soul exits the body and goes either to heaven or to hell. In Maddy And Terri by Phyllis Tamres, however, something peculiar happened. In her intent to continue her life and finish something that she had started, Maddy reincarnated as a gentile girl who now has a chance to tell her daughter what she longs to express all along. Will Maddy become successful on her mission? Readers can find out as they unravel the unexpected end of this poignant and dramatic tale about the mysteries of reincarnation and the true quintessence of love, acceptance and understanding.

Terri, on the other hand, believes that in her previous life, she was an old Jewish woman. As she grows up, Terri speaks Yiddish and plays the piano. Later on, it becomes apparent that she is really not a reincarnation. The old Jewish woman, Maddy, is actually “sharing” Terri’s body until Terri can finish something that Maddy could not do while she was alive. There are two minds and souls within Terri’s body.
