Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) December 03, 2012
Vertical Measures, a leading Internet marketing company, has announced a new installment to its series of webinars, to take place December 13, 2012 at 10am PST, 1pm EST. "Make 2013 Your Best Year Ever" by Leveraging 2012 SEO Lessons will be led by Kaila Strong, the company’s Director of Account Development. The free webinar will cover how Google’s Panda 3.0+ updates, Penguin updates, and Exact Match Domain updates in 2012 changed the SEO world, and what this means for optimizing websites in 2013.
In addition to algorithm updates, the webinar will discuss the rise of social media platforms such as Google+ and Pinterest and how businesses can use these to build their Web presence. The importance of Pinterest will be discussed as it currently drives more referral traffic that Google+, LinkedIn, and YouTube combined, and began allowing brands to have corporate accounts at the end of November. Negative SEO, the rel-author tag, and Author Rank will be explained at the SEO webinar in an easy-to-comprehend context for marketers who want to keep up with the latest website optimization trends.
Additional topics will include Google’s new link disavow tool, which enables webmasters to ask the search engine to discount low-quality links they do not control, if it is believed these have harmed the site’s ranking. Kaila Strong will stress that this tool is not a means out of optimizing a site following the Penguin or Panda updates, and will explain the proper way to use it.
Kaila Strong, Director of Account Development at Vertical Measures, said, "Far too many businesses are focusing on old tactics of SEO. Google performs hundreds of updates annually. To stay at the top of search engines, all businesses making money online should reevaluate their campaigns and prepare for 2013 - which includes a look back at the changes in 2012".
"During our webinar those who register will learn more about specific SEO changes that took place in 2012 and how to use those lessons to succeed in 2013,” added Strong.
As Google has made algorithm changes to address Web spam, Vertical Measures is using its expertise to help others analyze what these changes mean and how to make their websites more successful in 2013. Kaila works directly with clients to evaluate and analyze their Internet marketing needs, and to help guide their marketing campaigns by developing strategies and providing recommendations. She also oversees the Account Management team at Vertical Measures which works to increase search engine rankings, brand recognition, traffic, and conversions for clients.
"Simply ranking #1 for your keyword phrases isn't enough in today's SEO world. In our webinar, attendees will learn how to make websites stand out from the competition by applying a new set of SEO rules learned from 2012,” said Kaila Strong.
Kaila also writes about social media topics for Search Engine Watch, has been featured in online publications such as Mashable and Click-Z, and presented at the American Marketing Association (Phoenix) and Local First Arizona. She will lead the free webinar, Make 2013 Your Best Year Ever by Leveraging 2012 SEO Lessons, on December 13, 2012.
