It was an honor for Sandstrom’s associates to be recognized for our innovation and hard work by our peers in the Quad City Chamber, an outstanding organization with a dynamic program designed to promote the Quad Cities and support its manufacturing base.
Port Byron, Illinois (PRWEB) May 17, 2013
Sandstrom Coating Technologies has been named the 2013 Small Business Excellence Award recipient in the 1-50 employees category. The Quad Cities Chamber annually recognizes local companies and their significant economic contributions with this award. To achieve this prominent recognition, each company must submit a detailed essay describing what sets them apart both in their field but also as a whole organization, including future goals for expansion and/or innovation. The Quad Cities Chamber then has a committee which reviews each essay and votes on the candidates they feel are strongest.
Interestingly, the successes of this company go well beyond their local market. Products developed by this Port Byron-based company were used aboard every NASA Apollo and space shuttle Mission as well as the international space station. They are also on rifles carried by every soldier in the U.S. military, the vast majority of commercial and military aircraft, and nearly every car and truck made in America. Sandstrom reps say that one unique aspect of their business is that customers can speak directly to their R&D staff when they are in need of assistance for product application or troubleshooting.
Ecstatic to have received this award and grateful for the recognition, Mark Lousberg, Director of Sales, said, “It was an honor for Sandstrom’s associates to be recognized for our innovation and hard work by our peers in the Quad City Chamber, an outstanding organization with a dynamic program designed to promote the Quad Cities and support its manufacturing base. We are very proud members.”
