Bringing over 200 years of combined Networking Experience together 20 Social Media participants, learners and group facilitators took part in a St. Louis event this past Saturday at The Hive in Fenton that hopes to have a ripple affect for years to come.
Tweeting, Facebooking, shooting YouTube videos, commenting blogs and creating content where just some of things being shared. "We wanted to give the attendees a basic overview of Social Media, how to develop a personal brand, how to create content and how to connect with one's target market and make alliance partnerships," said event coordinator and Connie Houlihan.
Well-known local Sales Trainer and Speaker , 'Coach' Ken Redman kicked off the event giving an overview of social commerce and where the industry of mobile, direct selling and social are headed. "People are using their smartphone now when they are shopping in stores and that is changing the way consumers behave globally...Best Buy, Target, and Solavei are all capitalizing on the trends of mobile, retail and social sharing are converging like never before."
"We wanted to create an environment where we could provide; training, mentoring and daily how-to's for new and veteran networkers. And provide the Online Social Media tools and systems to attract leads and prospects to our member's businesses without losing family and friends," Houlihan went on to say. "Michael Butler from Tulsa, OK shared some amazing tools, insights and Online systems with our team to leverage Social Media using YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and other social platforms."
Attendee and Veteran Networker Jerry Chapman says, "I'm a senior and many seniors have seen their retirement income cut in half since the recession hit.
