Charleston, SC (PRWEB) December 12, 2012
The Charleston Marathon has announced the addition of Charleston.com to its list of sponsors for the 3rd Annual Charleston Marathon to be held January 18-20, 2013. The event will benefit the Youth Endowment for the Arts (YEA), a non-profit endowment that works to support equitable, quality fine arts programming for Charleston Area Children.
“We are excited to begin building a long-term relationship with the Charleston Marathon as Charleston.com continues to build its visibility in the Charleston community,” said David McGarry, managing partner of Charleston.com.
The Charleston Marathon events will begin on Friday, January 18, 2013 at Burke Middle & High School and will include a health and fitness expo, pre-race dinner, and the Charleston Youth Marathon. On Saturday, January 19, 2013, the 5K will start in North Charleston at the North Charleston High School, while the half and full marathons will begin at Burke Middle & High School, all of which will be followed by a post-race festival. Events for the weekend will conclude on Sunday, January 20, 2013 with a 40 and 62-mile bike ride that starts and finishes in Mount Pleasant.
“Commitment to the community of Charleston has always been number one on our list of priorities,” said McGarry. “Supporting local events is one of the best ways our company can show support.”
